Got out today in Virginia to a site thatโ€™s been pounded through the years but with new technology-no site is hunted and the Deus2 continues to pull the nonferrous targets from this heavy iron laden site. I finished with a .54 round ball drop, a rubber 4 hole button, a civil war period brass wedding band and a unique gilted flat button Back Mark: IRKELSO EXTRA RICH , but the front appears to have a bust of someone: Washington??? And the number 76. Anyone seen a flat button like this? Or is this a fake fantasy Button made in China in 1976?๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

That's no China ripoff-but....
Most of the photos are out of focus/that or these eyes are a tad tired.

The bust appears to be a case of pareidolia to me, but the pics are kinda fuzzy.
Congrats on some cool relics though!
Agreed, its a plain fronted gilt button with scratches. Early 1800s.
