Has anyone seen a sword like this before? The blade measures about 26” and the overall length with the scabbard on is 34”. The handle is brass and wire wrapped wood. There is a makers mark on the blade that looks like Arabic. The scabbard is wrapped leather with brass fittings. The brass throat fitting has a brass belt loop of sorts. Any idea on the country of origin or age? Is this a decorative piece? Any help is appreciated!

Definitely Arabic Script, but beyond that I'm lost. I can't identify the style or what it is a copy of.

Could be a legit sword, tourist trade sword, or Khyber Pass copy.....Etc.

IMHO. The back of the hand guard looks cast, not well finished. Which can mean (Not aways), a copy OR tourist piece.

It looks to be a mass produced decorative sword. The blade is probably chrome covered. The rusrt tip is due to the chrome wearing away from improper drawing and sheathing. It is probably ceremonial or part of an officers dress uniform. Is the blade sharp? Ill bet not.

I did a quick search for swords under the following, with no hits or luck.....

Turkish
Persian
Ottoman
Afghani
Iraqi
India
Egyptian
Arabic
Pakistani
Islamic
Khyber Pass
Fraternal

Could still be one of them, and I just didn't see it or there wasn't an example pictured.....Or heaven forbid it could be a Chinese copy of an Arabic sword. The Chinese copies are getting better, but aren't quite spot on yet.
