[Samsung phone was in water for one month!]

Met the phone owner at a nearby restaurant and returned phone. I think the text exchange says it all:

Me: Hi, I think I found your phone (owner name) at local beach and it is still working after charging it. Like to return and I am in [name of city]. You can come get it or I can mail it to you. If no word, I’ll take to local Police station and they know how to return lost phones. Thanks.”

Owner: “OMG are you serious???!!!! Thank you so muchhhh. How did you find it? I’m in [name of town] too. I can go this evening after work if that’s OK. Omg!”

Me: “Found metal detecting under about 1 ft of sand and at low tide otherwise under about 3 or 4 ft of water.”

Owner: “Wow. That’s crazy still work! Thank you thank you thank you. I have so many pics of my kids there."

Me: “This evening is fine. You know where [local restaurant] is next to HS?"

Owner: “yes! Ok perfect. I will text you when on my way"

Here is a picture of the owner whose phone was lost a month ago and found under 1 ft of sand at low tide. About 3 ft deep with normal sea level.

She even gave me a hug...with wife's permission.
