I know we have to have some shooters on here that have modified a single point gun sling to use for detecting to take up some of the weight. Would you please post some pictures so I can get some ideas of how it works. I swung my V3i today for 5 hours and I'm already starting to feel it. It a great detector, but it get's heavy after a few hours.

You can buy one called the detector buddy fairly cheap. Since I got the Deus, I use mine on the Weed eater at times.

A few year back I got a 12" x 15" butterfly coil for my F75LTD. I can only hunt for about an hour with that coil mounted, so I took an old set of army web gear (LBE) and made a swingy thingy out of it with the addition of 2 bungee cords. I can hunt all day now with the big coil. I had all these items laying around and made good use of them. Free swingy thingy, neutralized the weight of the detector and coil.

I use the detector buddy on my V3i (and Minelab machines), no problem swinging all day!
