Have not been out looking for points in forever. I got out on Valentines Day for an hour in a field that is right near a friends house. I had never looked there before and I came up with a decent little kirk made of super tranlucent caramel colored Carter Cave.

Also made it to the Ripley Artifact show. It was a great show and well attended. Dorkfish and PaleoJoe it was nice to see you again and as always killer artifacts. Dork that thebes and Dove are really super finds! We dropped by the field you gave us the heads up about. We found three or four broken points and left them behind for future generations. Thanks again.

Chuck, it was good to see you again as well. It's a shame Adam couldn't make it. Thanks for the comments on my collection and the Thebes and Dove. That Dove of your is very fine as well. Very nice heavy grinding on the base. That black Kirk is still my favorite in that tray. That point is a killer.

Sorry you didn't find anything in those fields. I talked to a buddy of mine who stopped there after the show and he said he didn't find anything good either.

As for the show, it was a very good show this year just like it is every year. Lots of great artifacts and lots of great people. I got a few good bargains on some nice Ft Ancient pieces and as soon as I get pictures of them I'll post them.

Thanks everyone. The pic was taken with an I-phone so I am pretty impressed with the quality. The material on that little point is really nicer than the pic shows. Super translucent!

Dork, yeah your Archaic frame is unreal. I cannot get over all your LLakes and archaic bevels. Thanks for the comments. When I found that black point i did a front flip in the sand and bruised my tail bone. What a day!!! No need to apologize about the fields. Usually fields that have high visibility like that are pretty picked over so no surprises there. Take care and post some of that stuff from Ffield!!
