Any ideas on what this could be? Very dainty… I thought female garment, but the hole is throwing me off. I think it’s too small to be something for furniture? Any help would be much appreciated!!

It appears to be the hook hanger from an old wood fishing lure. I don,t have a guess which one,probably a surface lure,they were used by the 10s of thousands by just about every lure maker at the time. Maybe a Heddon brand.

I know early 1900s at least,maybe farther back than that,all the way up to the 1970s when they started to ease away from that kind of hanger.Old Heddon lures would be a good place to start. Look on e-bay for antique or old fishing lures.There,s bunches of examples on there and you may be able to see one with your type of hanger.For some reason Heddon jumps out at me. Maybe a Crazy Crawler or full size Lucky 13. it,s a fascinating field.There are several antique lure collector Assns. too.Might try those. There were literally 100s of thousands of those old lures by many different makers.Good luck with your search.
