We went to a new spot this morning and found allot of buttons, Vino got antsy and left me alone and went to his other spot where he could not get permission for me to hunt with him there. He has been hunting that spot for quite some time. That is where he found those two finds. I'm not sure what else he found, if I get updated, I will update the thread.

I found a 1927 wheatie, poor condition it is worth .35 , in perfect condition it is worth 345.00. I figure its worth .40 haaaaaaaaaaaa lol
I found some buttons, one flat button that looks like its toast, four wheats, two locks, clad, a printing plate, thimble, wound up wire, and a ? pontiac hood ornament? I don't know? My favorite is either the plate (all according to what it says, I have to get a mirror and read it) or the winged lady?

Vino is busy trying to find out what kind od 1839 LC he got, he pulled a date, now he needs to find out if he has a Booby, silly, head of a 38, or a petite coronet. Hopefully he will send some pix or post himself. he told me that he found a button that is the same, but worse shape on e-bay I think

Thanks for sharing...

I just got some paint and printed out what was on that plate. It was a advertisement for Buster Brown " Made of 100% premium mercerized Babon(trademark) cotton. Buster Brown Anklets have special mercerized heels for lots more wear. " etc etc...... Sizes 6-11-----39 cents...... etc etc.

That button is in great condition...

Damn, now that's one sweet Eagle I, plenty of sharp detail and gilt. Great find.

Thanks everybody. ..My best button yet.

That is by far the best condition "Eagle Infantry " button or any button from the Civil War era that I have ever seen from a dig ! In the
normal condition that we see these dug in , I'm guessing they are not worth much- but in that condition I'm wondering what the value
might be ?

Very nice! The soil there has been very kind to that button.

treblehunter , Wow , I was so blown away by the button that I completely missed the "winged lady " hood ornament - OMG !!!
Please put up some more pics of that bad girl !

I'm going to clean her up better then post some pix, while I'm soaking her I'm going to see if I can find out anything as to what she is?

Would you mind showing us the printing plate? Looks cool

That button is amazing! It had to be a welcome sight pulling it out of the hole!
