I hunted two baseball fields today. The first one had a silver quarter and two silver rings. My second field was a baseball field I hunted about 16 months ago. It has hundreds of
fresh gopher mounds all over the field. This area has had numerous gopher activity over the years that keeps bringing up material, so I knew that if I waited awhile I would find
shallow coins on top or near the mounds.

My strategy paid off! I dug 3 silver coins from the gopher field! A 1947 silver quarter, 1959 Rosie, and a 1954 Canadian silver dime!
The quarter and rosie were 2 inches deep in the gopher mounds, the rosie was an easy hit at 4 inches. I dug coins like crazy from these baseball
fields, total clad was $ 19.49. Total silver coins from this baseball field now stands at 29!

Thorough hunt! I've got a few of those SMC bus tokens! The larger ring looks like it has a garnet.

Awesome hunt and great photos! The only gold ring Iโ€™ve found was in a gopher mound. Pulled silver and wheaties too. I never miss a chance to swing around โ€˜em!

Yep! A gopher pushed up a quarter for me in my backyard. Love those little guys when they do this but not so much when they tear up the yard. My next digger may just be a gopher on a leash. :laughing7:

Wrights Silver Cream. I use it on all my dug silver jewelry.

Nice results from your hunt. Congrats The one ring looks like it has a garnet set with marcasites on the sides, very attractive little ring.
I guess it could be your field of dreams with what it has given up over the years.
Got to love the gopher/ground hog holes.
