Waterproof beach and diving detector suggestions?

I live on a sailboat so I would rather not carry a separate diving detector if I can avoid it. But if it means my beach detector functions would suck I'll buy two.
I'm not likely to ever dive below 100'.
I would like to keep things under $1000, but that's negotiable.
I would like to have lithium batteries rather than only alkaline sizes.
Thanks.

For that depth I would choose the Minelab Excalibur II

It is a great saltwater beach and deep water detector, waterproof to 200 feet.

It want see small gold chains unless they have a large clasp or charm attached. It nulls when it sees iron (null is absent of threshold when it goes over iron).

I've jumped ship on what to buy.. I love my Excaliburs but if your going to spend 1500 for the excalibur you may as well go with the Deus ll for 1600.. then another 100 for the bone phones. The reason..a 5 year warranty, compared to 1 year with the excalibur. And I think its good to 60 feet? I would say very versatile, excellent for both land and water.

Like Treasure+Hunter said the Excalibur 2 is a great machine that I think you would be happy with
Also a great diving small detector is the Nokta pulse Dive with a 8 inch coil. The nokta would be hard to use beach hunting as it is maybe 16 inches long is a;;

Any drawbacks? Thanks
The cost is higher than you want to spend. Hundreds in upgrades are needed to make searching easier and more enjoyable. As OBN mentioned, it's not great on tiny targets, but, I've never had a problem on any ring or coin sized object. It's not the most ergonomic beach machine, or the lightest. Still, it's the best discriminating dive machine out there. If you can live with a 60' dive limit, you might want to get the new Deus 2. Another option would be to get a PI machine, but, since they don't reliably discriminate, they're not the best for beach use on a metal trash polluted beach.

When I bought my Excal II about 12-13 yrs ago it came with the standard straight shaft (it sucks) as well as a shorter scuba diving shaft.
The Deus II isn't proven for deep underwater detecting, yet (regardless of the few videos w diving), and I'd definitely wait until the jury is in before buying a new to-the-market machine for deep diving.
I'd vote for the proven Excal II for diving.

XP has a pretty good reputation for quality. I wouldn't worry about using it for diving at all. It comes with a 5 year warranty, so, even if there is a leak problem, it's covered. From what I've seen, it would be a much better land machine than the Excal.

XP says Deus II is waterproof to 60 feet, OP said diving to no more than 100 feet limit, Excal is waterproof to 225 feet.

The dealer I order from charge $1599 for the remote , FMF Coil Plus WS6 Backphones Headphones. The water kit ... Aerial Antenna, Waterproof cap, Remote Control Wave Guide & Bone Conduction waterproof Headphones are separate accessories. Unless your dealer is throwing the water kit accessories in for free. The Deus 2 does not come with the water kit.

Every unboxing video I've watched has all the accessories for diving except the bone conduction headphones.

I’ll give my dealer a call Monday & find out why I’m being charged for the water kit accessories.
