Right. The Bradshaws are in arizona, just outside of Prescott. 5000-6000 feet elevation.

Anytime I can help a fellow prospector, it is my pleasure. We need to hang together if we are going to survive!!
FULL PANS TO ALL !!!!!!!!! ;D ;D

Well thank you for the information. I'm in Cali, and don't much time to go out, so I doubt I be causing any trouble outside of Prescott anytime soon. I was under the impression that Gold starts to dwindle up around that elevation? I know that a lot of places here in California at 6000' you start hitting granite. Is it pretty hard digging?

" I was under the impression that Gold starts to dwindle up around that elevation?"

nope...that rumor is tied to the colorado plateau...below the rim...the southern edge of the plateau, there is an alarming lack of metals...travel south 50 miles and you come into some of the largest ore bodies in north america.

jerome is at 5,800ft...billion dollar copper camp..closed the open pit operations in 1952...took out maybe 1/3 of the ore.

lots of metal up in the bradshaws...true it settles down in the creeks...

I used to sluice in the Bradshaws a LOT when I lived in Phoenix. I had especially good luck in Black Canyon, Turkey and Big Bug Creeks. Lynx Lake area used to be good but was getting pretty populated last time I went..(2005). Nice haul and good luck in the future hunts.

It was 35 - 5 gallon buckets full of rock and dirt mixture- I think is is an old stream bed. Only had to move it 20 yards to water. It's too dry now. Maybe some rain will get me back out there.

Thx for your question
