so i found this a few years ago on a secluded beach that had no trash, just a lot of shells and interesting rocks. always been interested in finding cool rocks but never found anything that i thought was worth researching. this one is not like any ive ever seen. its been sitting on a shelf for a few years but i went to research more and found that there was a small spot i could break off. outside is smooth and metallic, very light colored silver. not magnetic. inside looks like a brownish sandy rock that would be pretty common here in northern california. just very curious about what its from or how it may have been formed.
here are a few photos of it, if anyone wants me to do any simple testing of it let me know what to do. any other questions ask away. any help is greatly appreciated!
i know the photos are not great, if anyone is interested i can take some better ones.

it may be aluminum, but it is very very hard, i can not dent it at all with high pressure point on it

Melted aluminum is very hard. This was a beer/soda can that was thrown in a campfire and melted into many blobs. You found one of them.

i was gonna ask how hard it is because i knew it was a soft metal but a soft metal can still be hard as hell, thank you for your response! it formed different than other melted metal ive seen from campfires, just perfectly around a rock, but you probably are right, ill have to melt one myself and try to recreate haha
