Dug these out at old dump site. This particular area had later dated stuff around 1950-60’s stuff.
Not even sure what the claw/teeth things are.
Help!!!

The "claws" are pyrometric cones, used by ceramicists to judge the heat of their kilns. A series of them, each one melting at a different heat, are placed in a base of clay and then fired. Watching them bend and droop gives an idea of the temperature of the fire.

I believe he,s right,probably explains why they were found in a dump.If it were me I,d not have thrown them away.Those are mighty ornate for bases for a temperature regulating device. You could probably sell those in their own right.Downright purty!
