What exactly is a "push notification" ?

And why does it need my permission ?

Go to your avatar/name-Click
pick preferences-click
scroll down till you see-

Receive a notification when someone…

pick-click-unclick-click-pick-unpick -click.......up to you what content setting to give notifications you want to show up (on the bell).

(Note to reader- A total luddite's explanation to tech.)

To consider - Alerts show less title / info of thread itself and shows the / more actual alerted post info also.
Link to post itself would be less confusing and speedier.
Less back and forth and wrong clicked data.

Now i know that the "one minute ago" link does do this... but its off the post... and is not really a noticeable link for new users.
The typical click would be above on main area which brings you to the first post of thread.
I think there should be 2 definitive links.
one for beginning of thread and the next to the actual post with partial post text perhaps.

Food for thought.

Any progress being made on seeing who is viewing the forum pages at the bottom of the page and how many are viewing which forum? I miss those features.

Already installed, if you go to the bottom of the thread it will show you who is in thread and who has viewed thread.

What do you mean by skewed, if you mean it doesn't include the old Treasurenet stats I believe it is based on when new software was installed, not in TreasureNet's history. I have asked admins if it is possible to have it set to treasurenet old stats but no guarantee that is possible.

The old forum had something that looked like this:

Golden threads are same as banner threads, site is still under construction, admins are trying to find a way to duplicate the old banner on new site, No guarantee they will be able too but are trying.

Reaction score is basically total likes. if you click on Points it will show you how they are accumulated.

Is the forum still going to be accessible with Tapatalk? I just tried and it says "network error".

Unfortunately we will not be supporting Tapatalk. We are working on our own app though.

I bet you can't wait for all the oil drillers, coal miners, long haul truckers, lobstermen, fishermen, longshoremen, farmers, ranchers, and others out of work to learn to code so you can get some help with the site!

Just an idea but what about a New Thread area on the side banner. We have a latest posts section, just thought a New Thread area would help with seeing new topics. Just an idea, not necessary.
