Not sure if this has been answered,
But what about the "in-line" photos of a post.

Example:

The photos, where they were posted originally, greatly enhances the post.
Not a red X here and there and all of the photos are at the bottom of the post.
And you get to play "Guess which photo went where."

I am not able to edit and I notice that all old posts have the photos like this in my posts.

And,
I consciously make effort in my original posts to NOT have text directly follow videos.

Are these issues with the new server about converting old content?
Perhaps we are all collectively helping the new server in ways they may have not considered.
Most certainly, we are All collectively helping Treasurenet to be "More Better!"

Best,

Scott

LOL!

Unfortunately attachment links like that can't be imported into the current attachment system. The images are still attached, but the URL is completely changed. I'll do some research and see if there is an ideal solution to this problem but my confidence is not high. I know it's an inconvenience.

I did fix that thread for you. If you want to PM me links to other threads I can correct them for you.

I'm not sure what you mean about text directly following videos, I'll need to know that before I correct the others.

John,

Here's what I mean....
A screen shot.
See the video?
See to the upper right where it says, "I miss you, Brother Ron..."
I would always hit enter after posting a video to prevent this.
The text would then be under the icon/image for the video.
I've noticed this more than once in re-reading my past posts.
It may just be a simple protocol prompt that was overlooked in data transfer.....

Most of everything from the past is skewed.
Which leads me to believe that the past is the past and cannot be changed....
See?
Philosophy is all around us!

And,
I reckon I'll give up on the push for a new font. LOL!

John,

There are too many to bother you with.

I remember back when those who had Personal Pages had "Moderator" privileges on their pages.
I guess somebody messed that up.....:dontknow:

I was hoping that the new server IT team could write in a prompt code to add an "Enter" after any video.
Retroactively.....
I DO understand and can write HTML code.
I'm pretty computer stupid, though....
However, every now and then,

"A Blind Squirrel Will Find A Nut."

Thank you and all the Folks who make this the,

Here is where I think that the HTML code should be changed.
I could be wrong.
It may need to be at the beginning of every post with a video.
Or the initial protocol prompts.

Running a find and replace on this amount of data (and there is multiple types of embed and video methods) can very likely end up having some unintended consequences. It's not something I'd prefer to try :(

I will do some searching and see if there is an elegant way, but I'm guessing that's going to be the only method.

John,

These issues are the last on my list of problems.

If they cannot be corrected easily, I understand.

I've had to just let a lot of things go from my past....
After all, it's just me re-reading my past posts.

But the picture thing.

I really have issues with that.
Can we focus on that?
No more red "X's" and a jumble of pictures at the end of a post...
Please?

Best,

Scott

What about "cancel" buttons... On profile edit page & thread posting box.

Cancel what?
Cancel on reply if one decides to "abort" a response for several different reasons.
Also... cancel on edit page.
Currently its only "save".
I know you may not follow what i am saying with the above... but heh

I'll look into it again and see if I can find a solution. A lot of your posts seem to have converted correctly... I suspect it was the way the image was inserted/used. For example, this one works and is old: https://www.treasurenet.com/threads/above-and-beyond-the-critters.595460/post-6587067

Can you send me a few more direct links to some that are broken?
