Actually I think it is this maker. (not the actual mug as yours but the company) same GR
Hope more research will help you find the same mug. That's if they were mass produced or just everyone was a tad different.

Cool tankard. Are there any marks on the base and, if so, could we see them please?

The original 17th/18th Century pieces were indeed widely reproduced in later times. It could still be German-produced though. Any base marks should help narrow it down to a date and maker.

No marks on base. Only mark I see is a "6" near the lip on the top.

I found one years ago also and I see the micro crackling in yours and to me it looks very real and not a reproduction. But since I am not an expert I will be interested to see if it proves otherwise. My mother does have a Colonial Williamsburg repro Westerwald they once sold as souvenirs. Her repro is marked so on the base.
