What animal is this?

Got a sterling pin, but I can't figure out what bird this is. I think its either a duck, dove, or pigeon. When I bought it, it was labeled sterling duck pin. Can't find pictures of anything similar when I search for it. What bird do you think it is? Its marked 925 Germany.

Thats a nice find! I think Duck is correct, that was my first thought.

If everyone agrees its a duck, I'll go with that. I guess its just harder to find a picture of this one then. Thanks for the help.

I think it looks like a ptarmigan...they have feathered feet, and head and neck look more ptarmigan-like.
