I got a pair of ultimates from Mike post of Woodland detectors. They have a lifetime warranty almost completly eliminate outside noise are very comfortable. They have a switch to make them compatible with any detector and have a volume limiter if you use loud PI machines. great phones :icon_thumleft:

ignore the ultimates like the plague
for minelabs if you don't have perfect hearing.

The limiter switch sounds like it's on Limited setting all
the time.

I was told by Detector pro it does this with Minelabs.

I tested mine on a whites & they worked Correctly,
but had to strain my ears on my Explorer.

Gave them to my Nephew for his Etac as an
early X-mas Gift & He likes them.
but he didn't hit the rock concerts in the 70's.

Like Jeff I was into 70s rock so I purchased a set of Black Widow headphones from Detector Pro which I absolutely love. They have a lifetime warranty and are pretty tough. One of the switches on my headphones is completely bent but it still works so I'm not getting them replaced until they die.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

I have a set of Nugget Busters......made by the same company that manufactures the Grey Ghosts......I really like them. I have heard they are exactly the same as the Ghosts, except without the volume limiter circuit. I may be wrong though.....? ? ? ?
