🔎 UNIDENTIFIED What are the markings in this ring?

I have been landscaping our yard. I've dug up marbles, hot wheels, and old Queen Elizabeth button and a ton of nails and broken glass. But no jewelry until now.

I initially thought i had dug up a cut piece of pipe and tossed it on the sidewalk. Turns out it's a hammered ring. Marked B T, and a 2 in both directions. It's been resized and its not magnetic, so has me thinking maybe sterling silver? Just curious. I wonder how long ago someone lost their ring and how long they looked for it...(I have been looking for my lost wedding ring since 2011)

The 3rd image color is the lighting.

My first thought was a homemade coin ring, hammered out from a silver coin. Not so sure now but looks very homemade.
Thanks for the reply. I does look homemade / hobbiest. The resizing doesn't look to be a good job, but I wasn't sure if that was from spending all those years underground.

My first thought was the same as Cru's, it looks like it was made from a .25 cent silver coin.
