What do you think this is guys if anyone can help found this at my new permission. It looks to me like part of a dagger or something like that. I got told by my local FLO after sending photo its a moden fence post i belive its not im a ground work and have been for 20 years never seen a fence post that is metal with wood then wrapped in what think is copper wire. Any ideas would be helpful many thanks

I know the old “Model T” fords had an ignition coil that was made in a wooden box, those kinda look like primary windings from an ignition coil. Just my 2 cents…….

It could have been a repair on a hand tool. Wrapping a break in the wood where the handle met the implement being used.

I've wrapped wire, thread and fishing line around wood scraps like that to store them without tangles.
Agreed.
It's modern (ish) wire & they are storing it for use. I find lots of bits of that type of wire & they mostly use it to tie up/mend holes in game pens. Where they rear the small pheasants.

I'll add 2 cents more and make it 4 cents. I do believe a Model T primary coil was wrapped around a wooden dowl.
