The dollar is losing world reserve currency status slowly and wont be around forever.
This time is never different and its someone elses turn again to have the reserve currency.. Not the first time and it wont be the last.
Its already collapsed but no one knows it yet. This is what 590% inflation since 1971 looks like haha.

The dollar will never ... ever... collapse.

The US dollar is THE most covenanted currency in the World... always has been... always will be.

Dont believe the hype.

Those who believed in the Crypto false prophets are feeling it now.

Warren Buffett says he wouldn't pay $25 for all the bitcoin in the world...
"
The billionaire investor explained that holding bitcoin is "stupid" because he expects it to be worth zero dollars in time, "evil" because it undermines the integrity and stability of the US financial system, and makes the US "look foolish" because China's ruling party was smart enough to ban it.

Buffett has previously dismissed bitcoin as "rat poison squared," and described it as a worthless delusion. Meanwhile, Munger has compared the crypto to a venereal disease, called for the US to ban it, and bemoaned the massive speculation underlying its price gains in recent years."

it's a nice ponzi scheme until the whales sell out. :)

The dollar has clearly not lost reserve currency status. Reserve currencies are those held widely by governments, central banks and private institutions to conduct international trade and financial transactions. The dollar shares this distinction with only a few other major currencies, including the euro, Japanese yen, Swiss franc, British pound, Canadian and Australian dollars, and the Chinese renminbi. In fact, the dollar’s status as the dominant global reserve currency is stronger than ever and has become even more entrenched in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and economic crisis.

Its still the reserve "for now" but that wont last. The dollar is dying a slow fiat death along with the rest.
Its not my opinion, just history repeating like it always does.
Reserve currencies have always changed hands through time and its been consistent. This was Americas turn.

lol... i dont know where you guys are pulling this stuff from.
Well maybe 10% inflation in 30 days is too generic of a claim and maybe inflated a little. Energy prices have risen 7.5% in the last 30 days. Overall we have had something like 0.7% inflation in the last 30 days which is on par with the 9.1% annual inflation that was reported recently by our gov. Energy prices are up by 41.5% in the last 12 months. Gasoline up 59.9% in the last 12 months.

Interestingly enough, the strength of the dollar can apparently rise when our buying power dramatically declines here at home. Maybe we are just falling slower than the other currencies. I’m no financial expert in no way whatsoever. But I see the security and transparency in the blockchain. I believe that will be the ultimate anti-counterfeit measure. Also will be an instrument for the Gov. to extract exacting amounts of taxes on cash transactions that are difficult to track.

IF you were in the middle of the Amazon Rain Forest... in the middle of a worldwide financial crash...
And had nothing but some US cash to your name... no food... nothing else to your name.

Guaranteed you would be sleeping and eating well for everyone would take it in lue of payment.
Even the indigenous natives in the mountains would recognize and accept it. heh

No joke.

Take another countries money with ya and try to do that.... you might get by with some... but your gonna have problems.

The “Value” of the US dollar (when compared to the leading world currencies) has surged, yet here at home we see inflation that will become unbearable. The world economy is crashing I feel.

Wanna talk about "worthless".... US paper money is WAYYYY down on the list of worthlessness.

Sheesh even at the very least it would still have worth right down to even in a survival situation.

From TP to Fire.

Try that with bitcoin or plastic. :)

Well your welcome to “bank” on US dollar in an end of times scenario. I prefer to bank on more essential necessities. Food, fuel, ammo, ect. are likely going to be high on the list of things a person could trade with over a paper dollar that will buy .1% of a loaf of bread. I’d rather have that loaf of bread to trade with. GOLD my friend is something that will retain value. Can’t light a fire with it, but I guarantee some will be willing to kill you for it until the end of time.

The idea of currency being based on technology rather than the confidence in the stability of a country is a new one. It’s really something to think about rather than dismiss without thought. It cannot be manipulated by politicians and dictators. Folks in third world countries will be able to make critical purchases using a cell phone despite the collapse of their country’s currency due to civil war or collapse due to failed socialism or communism. It is thought provoking considering there are more people on this earth in that situation than not. The Starlink system will fuel the adoption of crypto in these third world countries. Dictators will not be able to control communication any longer. People will not own a car, but they will have a device connected to the internet.

Not exactly an end of world photo, but mass worldwide adoption of a handful of crypto currencies (likely including the soon to be official US government crypto coin) will likely provide stability the world has never seen. I’ll have gold, food, ammo, AND sun power in addition to some gambling currency at the moment.
