Lol. Not enough pull tabs. I’d say closer to 85-100 for gold. Your closer to silver with those numbers. Also depends on location. I’ve collected close to 100 pull tabs without either silver or gold.

It's just a small beach in CDA ID. The beaches are the only places that aren't froze solid. I suppose it the trees it's not to bad

In 5 years of detecting, I've unearthed 20 gold rings (2 were returned) and estimated my pull tab to gold ring ratio is around 1000/1. The good news, if you're digging pull tabs and nickels, you're gonna get any gold that may be buried. Ccarson is right, location, location, location........

Yep, your listening to the right targets. I must have dug a thousand pull tabs in a row this past summer, then all of a sudden I hit a gold, a gold, a platinum and another gold in a span of 4 weeks.
Keep at it!

The picture says a thousand words.

That's why I don't dig for gold-just too old maybe.
Actually I'm just too damn lazy!

It use to be a 250/1-then I start hearing 300-400/1 ratios
Now I'm reading 100/1-say what!

I tip my hat to you for wanting to go back-and best of luck, I really hope it's a nice golden bling of a ring

It was probably a bad idea I got a detector.i have a bit of addictive personality, with me,it's"always to next one!" Doesn't matter if I'm hunting and passing up deer,at the casino etc. I have to be doing something or I start getting bored, when I get bored, well the destructive me comes out. It's the slow season at work so I got it to keep me out of trouble.
