What is it???

Years ago back around 1975 i found this laying on the ground near a pawn shop
threw it in a box and there it sat until now,,just wondering what it could be and how old..

any help would be very greatfull

Looks like a wax casting pendant depicting a lion or horse.

Perhaps, African origin.
