I probably should have posted this question on the "What is it" forum, but didn't think of it. Still wondering what it is, if anyone has any ideas, would appreciate it!

It's a Lobotomy Hook. You get someone down on the ground with your knees on their arms then you stick it up under their eyelid and start scraping and turning it just behind the bridge of their nose and forehead. When your done, they will give you no more trouble.

Found the same piece a year ago in a field behind my house. I thought it may hang under an oil lamp on a wall or light fixture. Let me know what you find out. IMG_20181127_204508.jpg

That's the best possible ID I've heard so far, think I'll go with that!

i have the exact same thing as well. Here is all I could find for possibilities. It is a finial from either a ornate wood stove top, Or it is from a hanging oil lamp as the bottom finial, or it is a gas key of sorts, or a shoe or button hook. Most seemed to go with wood stove, or gas lamp related.

The dude who perfected and pushed lobotomies got his technique down to a couple of kitchen tools.
Anyone should be able to perform the operation.
