What is this weird shaped rock?

I got this rock at an auction and am wondering if it is some sort of indian tool/weapon or just a weird shaped rock. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Where did the rock come from? The scratches could be from glacier action. From the pictures I see no evidence of human alteration. Just a strange shaped rock in my opinion. You might try posting this on the Indian Artifact Forum on this site.

What did the auction say it was, besides a rock. I mean I've never been to an auction that sold stream cobbles one at a time, so they must have said something to make you want to buy it.
