I found this on the river bed today. It is heavy but doesn't look like a rock. Can anyone help? Thanks, Ray.

1st impression it looks like a turtle shell (I'm probably wrong). What's the weight and size?
I don't have a scale. About 7 inches long. It has been at the bottom of the river at lease since last year. The river dried up alot this year. 3 years ago I found a entact piece of brain coral.

Maybe a rock with tiny coral fossilized on the top ? That brownish crusty looking stuff on top looks like tiny coral fossilized.
