Ok my pics work if you click on them it appears now. Can anyone tell me what a ring of this size would of been used for?

Another possibility... Some older pieces of farm equipment such as grain drills had rings connected by lengths of chain that were drug behind the machine. Usually there was perhaps a foot of chain connected to a ring such as the one pictured, then another foot of chain and another ring. The function was to help cover the wheat or other grain being planted.
