I was curious on how many AT MAX owners used different programs for relic hunting and involving coin hunting as well. I know coin hunting in general most want to use a custom setting. Let’s hear everyone’s go to programs.
I generally use all metals with no iron Descrim, full sensitivity and search for relics. For coins, custom with 39 descrim, no other notches, sensitivity two from top, and dig it all.

I’ve been trying nearly all. When I’m in an area not known for Civil War relics I’ll hunt it at zero and 38, I’ve used custom 44 and done really good, but ultimately realized even at old churches, schools, or old homes I’ll use Zero and kick it to around 38. While out civil war relic hunting I’ll basically max it out on sensitivity depending on soil and surroundings and leave it on zero and just barely bring the discrimination up to about 20-24. Right around the small nail area is where I stay so that way I can hear them and get a feel if there may have been a camp there or what. I’m going out this weekend and kicking it on all metal mode and giving that a try. I’m letting some bullets rest underground till it settles around them to make it a little more natural cause our soil tends to be pretty rocky and I want to be able to have a decent test bed with different targets so I know what they sound like under different conditions and even mask a few.

Hey guys. I do a lot of relic hunting. Use the zero mode with sensitivity maxed out. I use discrimination at 28 and I have good luck. If you happen to be looking for iron objects, run the discrimination down to an acceptable level. Hope it helps.

Relic/ colonial site hunting I'm in custom wth iron discrimination at 23 and sensitivity 2 bars from max and I use the nel storm coil it works great for iron infested sites and if I'm civil war site hunting I sometimes use all metal
