Tonight at our house it was a smelt fry. Had a pasta dish with it and plenty of malt vinegar. I’m not showing any pics if my tiny fish. I’ve seen to many big, nice fish on these forums. Mine look stunted. But, wow! Do I like them every once in a while.
People always tell me “you’re eating the bait!”🐟

Tonight is going to be tacos “el Norte”.
Not even close to authentic. Hamburger, cream of mushroom soup, cumin, onions and peppers in slow cooker. Serve on tortillas with other toppings: cilantro, sour cream, crema, etc. I love authentic tacos: Al pastor and lengua are favorites, but these are good for a change. Sort of a casserole on a tortilla. I’m heading out to look for shedded deer antlers. They are treasure to me. I scrimshaw some, make knife handles, cribbage boards etc.

Homemade pizza night at our house to celebrate! The new Simplex arrived this afternoon and is charging.🍕😆

Snowed all day. Cabin fever kicking in. I made my version of Grandma-style pizza. Ham, sausage & onion. Not too bad. If you’ve never had it ; crisp outer crust but not crispy all the way through.
