It seems there are a lot of choices in the UK but the us dealers dont have anywhere near the selection.
Anyone care to chime in?

The detech brand seems to have a lot including hi tech designs very similar to the new "SE PRO Coil" but in many different sizes.
Is there a 5 or 6 inch model available in the US?
OR, do i have to send my money accross the pond?

Only makes sense you have to buy an after-market coil from Europe if it's a European company producing them. I'm sure if sales are good you'll see them in the US before too long. In fact, I believe I did hear the SEF coils were starting to be sold by American dealers. I would really like to test these in person because weighing as much as the stock coil, and selling at the price they do, they better be damn good... meaning better!

PS... There is also Coiltec, Sunray, and those large foolish EXcelerator coils. (offered in the US)

I also wonder why Minelab does not produce their own 5" coil...Whites does it for their dfx...

Probably because Sunray did. Already the market would be split.

The 8" Minelab is actually 7.5" which is really a fairly small coil compared to the stock.

Good point guess that is why I have the 8", and I am not willing to pay almost $200 more for a 5"....but if I see one cheap you never know... :D
