Anyone even getting out? I've been trying to get the Arkansas forum going with my very meager finds, without much success. Anyone out there?

Yea, there is a few of us here. There is either very few detectorists in Arkansas, or they don't have internet. ;D Really though, I took a stab a while back at getting this forum going with limited results also. Oh well, Tnet is still a great site. Hopefully some of us Arkies can get met up and hunt together sometime.

I don't metal detect, but do quite a bit of indian artifact hunting.I found a couple on my last trip and posted them in the artifacts section.I've been finding some old bottles but haven't posted any of them.I do all my hunting in the creeks so my finds will increase as the water warms up.Good luck and happy hunting!

I would love to do a group hunt sometime. I would also like to see how other machines perform, especially an e-Trac, compared to my DFX.

Lol, this ole Arkie has been in Mississippi since the late 50's and most all my old Arkie 'haunts" are all either paved over, dug up and hauled off , or filled in and covered with subdivisions. For me ,Home "aint" what it used to be and if I could find it now, it would just give new meaning to being "homesick"." Though there is "no place like home,"Home" truly is "where the heart is", so y'all be sure and always be thankful for it , wherever it may be. HH Cass

Near Little Rock here:

I just bought an MXT from a great guy who lives in jonesboro. I'm quite new to hunting. Me and my 7 year old are ready to dig some holes! I'm inspired by the finds I see on here. I'm also a teacher and will have lots more time to go this summer... my first bunch of free time will be spring break baby!!! comin' in a little over 2 weeks! Anyone want to help a newbie hone his skills?

I'm just outside of Conway. Retired and willing to travel! Wouldn't mind getting together with folks for a group hunt.
