Heres a good question for you drywashers.
what riffle do you find your gold in when you check your tray.

i almost always get mine in the third riffle no matter how slow my feed is. the larger pieces always hit the first one but the bulk always ends up in the 3rd.
just wondering if any of you guys even bother to check.

3rd riffle Herb.

I often find it in the first riffle but it depends on what angle I'm running. Its always good practice to keep some fluorescent painted lead split shot and run some just to check. Keep some different sizes and try different angles and see where they end up. I keep an angle finder in my tool bag, you can pick them up at most hardware stores fairly cheap.

Most in first, some in second, even less in third, and usually little to nothing below that.
Catching dust past 200 minus in mesh size, but most is 50 -100 minus. Lots of very fine gold where we are, but the Keene does a really good job as long as we pay attention to changes in material and adjust accordingly.
