While searching for lost earring I found this........UPDATE

I was searching for a lost gold earring yesterday at a local park that dates back to the early 1900's.....It is has been hunted over and over and over. Well, we never get it all do we? I got a very srong dime hit reading 8 inches and I was thinking maybe a merc?
Well, it was no merc but it was this!
I posted on the What is it forum as well, because of the stamp on the back. It appears to be quite old and the stone is truly amazing

UPDATE........... had the pendant looked at, but I was NOT going to pay $75 for an official appraisal!!! The guy did look at it and said it is a single crystal opal and the stone alone was valued at around 4 hundred Dollars. He could not identify the makers mark either and was pretty puzzled. Of course he wanted to buy it for $200......I THINK NOT!

That opal is dazzling, what beautiful color. The stamp on the back is quite curious, I'd be interested to learn more about it. Great job again Nash! Keep it up and you will kick us girls but all by yourself!

I am trying like crazy to identify that mark to no avail....And the pendant is 7/8 in length by 7/16 in width not including the added ring...Just the solid piece itself that is. The pics do it no justice either. It does look like it is old for sure...and the opal is breathtaking!
I SO need help ID'ing this!

It is always nice to find jewelry, and why can't the ladies lose both those ear rings at the same time.
When I saw yours I know I had one something like it .. just different stone. Mine was found years ago
at a old home in Michigan. Let me post a pic so you can see, and if you happen to run into some information
on how to date these type of ear rings I would appreciate hearing about it. My pic is not as good as yours
I think I need a new camera. Put the dime in just for reference.

Had to add a correction to my reply ... I looked to quick, though yours was a ear ring.

Nice find, dude. I'm amazed at how well you've done over the past couple of months or so. I'd say you're officially healed up and back in business. Let me know if you ever make the trip to N. Cal looking for gold and I'll set you up with some good spots.
