🔎 UNIDENTIFIED White Material Leaching For ID

First thought of calcite but do not think so now. This appears to be leaching from the boulders downwards and is built up
to some thickness in spots. Appreciate all thoughts on what this white material is. Thanks to all ........

Thanks so very much traveller 777, in answer to your question no we did not check the hardness and we use a knife blade that matches your attached chart at 5.5. I did not have that chart and appreciate you posting it.
We did not bring a sample home and next time on the claims will go and check. Thanks again & have a good one ....

Let us know what you find on your next visit. And good luck on your claims. And I would grab a small sample to do a streak test
