I was 16 years old at the time. I was 6’0, 225 and he was about 6’5, 395. I had just bought his new album so I recognized him. I went to shake his hand to meet him, and he pulled me in and gave me a mighty chest bump. I wasn’t ready for it, surprised almost lost my balance. He was nice and took time to talk and sign autograph. One of my funnest, favorite stories to tell
Dee Snyder?
Come on!
We need clues!

AH! Meatloaf!
Right?
Hmmm..

I got married to my third wife in Las Vegas in 1996.
I thought I might remember my Anniversary as 9-13-96.
Tupac was in Vegas that night.
A bad day for us both.....

Gordon Cooper, Astronaut. Met him when Roy Roush (treasurenet member RIP) received his PhD in Biblical Archaeology.

Don....
A little over a week ago, at an estate sale, I bought the book “We Seven” by the 7 Mercury astronauts. I believe it was put out in 1963.

There are people who are famous within the ranks of their own genre,
and then there are people who's names are known by a majority of
the country's population.

There are people I knew well enough to have conversations with, and
then there's others who I had a chance to meet.

Jack Youngblood, Deacon Jones, Charlie Gearheart (Goose Creek
Symphony), Mickey Mantle, Niel Armstrong, Barbara Streisand
(unpleasant).

I met Clint Eastwood in a Safeway in Pacific Grove when I was in the Army stationed at the Presidio of Monterey. He was super nice, didn't act like a celebrity, stood there in the frozen goods aisle and chatted with me for quite a while.
