LOL when I was a Kid and I'd ride with my Dad on a Mining road.

There were Things like that occasionally along the Trail hanging from tree limbs that hung across the road..
The truckers would hang them.

Not sure if there was Method to the Madness, Like putting a steak in the ground to mark the spot
but more entertaining. or simply entertaining to give the next trucker a laugh.

Defiantly a Spot worth Detecting. it's Marked for some reason

Actually, there was indeed a method to their madness. Logging/Mining roads are usually
narrow, twisty and have steep grades. Truck drivers had 2-way radios, and would call out
their direction and location (inbound/outbound) based on what odd object they were near.
There's not enough room for trucks going opposite directions to pass, and this way inbound
trucks can pull off into turnouts, avoiding head-on crashes.

Basically, they used them as mile-markers.

yep ! I'm serious when I say it's there to Mark the area.

Search it carefully, there may be a cache of some Type,
it may be a good Hunting Spot, Or simply litter that was Repurposed
of course, Party Spot even. But I'm guessing someone wanted to remember that Spot for some reason.
Could be a Dogs Burial Spot too But Doubtful if so far back.

Being how wide open it is, I'd detect every Where I can see it.
I'd Especially start where it is Looking from as far away as I can See it, & detect all the way up to the Tree first.
I'd take it down & Gut it Too, then put it back of Course.

type of finds detecting should tell you something, if allot of brass or can tabs.
