Maybe you can contact Tesoro if they are coming out this year with a new detector. Good hunting and good luck.

Someone on another forum sent in a Deleon and a Cortez for service and called Tesoro on 1-7 to check on the progress.
Says he talked to Rusty since he was the only person in here at the time.

This is what he was told...

"He did say that they acknowledge that they have to bring out a new machine, and that one will be released here possibly either this year or next year, so I can officially say that a new detector will be coming out!"

We have had a name for this thing since what, January 2014...now all we need is something to slap the new decal onto.

I have never been great at holding my breath for a long time but I still got my Vaq and Compadre so...I'm good.

Digger27, that was me. And that is what Rusty said. He said that he couldn't release any more detail other than the fact that they areven working on another detector for release. I talked to Rusty for almost an hour shooting the breeze...very nice person!

Most everybody I have read about that ever had a conversation with Rusty has had nothing but good things to say about the experience.
I read somewhere he mentioned he is getting close to retirement...it will be a sad day in Tesoroland if and when that happens.

There is no sense in waiting, purchase other brands of detectors. Really, maybe this year, or next year. I am not waiting. I am going to purchase a Fisher 75 in April or May. Snow on the ground in Connecticut.

Don't over look the Safari, my wife loves hers. They are very deep. I picked up the Xterra 705 it's ok but you need to get the 10'' DD for it. The stock concentric is not really that good. Minlabs feel a bit robotic. The Tesoro machines are very lively. They remind me of a trusty hunting dog. They will hunt it out and find it IF you know what they are saying.
I still hope Tesoro will come out with somthing, they are just so good. I love their simplicity and light weight.

Mojave looks like a Compadre they added a couple of gimmicks to.

I'll wait for some tests on depth before I think it's something new.
