HEy all,
Was wondering if anyone knew of old wishing wells around the state? I knew of one when I was a kid that was around in Easthampton MA around the late 80's was last I seen it. It now is the place of newer condo that were put in . I never found out what year that well was put in there but I think if you could locate the history of them you may very well find some older stuff if it is not in use anymore.

If you do a google book search pre 1950's or whatever you may come up with something.

I was just thinking this same thing. When I was a kid, we had a "wishing well" up in the woods. It was a small stone foundation that had old boards in it. Don't know what the building was or why is was so far in the woods, but we would throw coins, or pieces of stone off of the "wishing rock" into it. It's on my list of hunts...as soon as I make up my mind what MD to get.
