I have been an X-Terra 70 owner for about 2 months now an can honestly say that I believe its one of the very best machines on the market. Its light wieght, ease of use, and coil options are just a few of its great features not only that but its ability to find targets at incredible depths has impressed me and many others. I have recently hunted an area right behind my buddy's who used a whites MXT and XLT and found numerous coins and even found a cache that they had passed right over, now maybe they did'nt know how to use thier machines properly but my point is this, Learn to use your machine! Take the time nessecary to get the very most of it. I see so many MD'ers buy a machine, then go out with out reading the manual and start swinging and then can not figuire out why they are not making Banner finds? I preform air test regulary on my machine just to be sure of what I am looking at, I also have a test garden and am always testing myself by trying to guess what is below my coil before I dig. I don't believe there is a magic machine out there that will be the "Great Equalizer" I don't care who makes it! Its up to the person behind the coil to make the machine operate properly!
Just my opinion

Well if minelab don't answer emails ..CALL THEM...1-702-891-8809.........That is the phone number in..Las Vegas Nevada...............Icandigit said:I have had and Xterra 70 for several months and I have not been impressed with the depth with the stock coil. When I added the 10" coil it improved a bunch. It is a very good machine but I have read about all the great deep coins that everyone else has found and I wonder if something is wrong with my machine. Quality of the unit is first class but when I want deep coins I grab the T2. Emails to Minelab have went unanswered so how can I tell if there is something wrong? Coins at 6" are loud and clear but after that .....
