I didn't know about that shoe buckle. When did you get that?
I got that this fall....down in the park of all places....that's why I will dig through the garbage just to find a good one down there.....it only took a thousand holes or so to get that

You had a great year for some terrific finds! Great variety and it would be hard for me to say which I like the best of what you posted, all are great.

"The mantra has always been don't clean a (copper) coin or it will lose value.
For undug coins this is true. For dug coins this is untrue.
The value will increase with judicious cleaning."

Re: top 10 of 2010
nice finds for the season!!!!! nice score on all the goodies!!! MR TUFF
Sweet digs made on the floater, IH! In my opinion, your best find was that fully intact shoe buckle, which I never remember you posting.
you are 100% correct, I never posted it
here's the story, or lack of one.....decent fall day, couple of hours to kill....head to the park(even though I'm not much of a park hunter, one of our local parks is huge and is covered mostly in large trees) where I've found a few older targets before
it was my only "old" find for the hunt and I didn't consider posting just the one find, even though it's a pretty good buckle it should have been considered one of my better finds of the season considering these usually don't come out intact....I'll post up the next one for ya right away
