You got really nice coins, for not being a coin shooter. The silver ring and brooch are over the top. Thanks for posting, I learn a lot from your post.

Wishing you and your family the very best in 2018.
Thanks Tom, one of these days one of the big silvers I dig will be colonial...still trying to check an 8 reale off the list. Best to you as well in 2018

I love seeing a CTX getting all muddy. Looks like the mud is where it's AT! Very nice selection of top shelf jewelry, relics, and coins. You covered a lot of variety and very old stuff too. I try not to envy you folks out east but, it's nearly impossible when ya'll keep shoving these cool finds in our face here on T-net! Superb research and tenacity to get these treasures. May the coming year bring you a few more first find surprises.

    Isaiah 9:6-7

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Jon, you did have an outstanding year, especially considering the down time. You really are a military button magnet, and the CTX works like charm in the pluff mud. As soon as the snow melts I'm sure you'l be right back out there! lol. Here's to lots of great finds in 2018.
