E-bay offers up to 2 year Warranty on Metal Detector Purchase! Is it worth it?

I have been eyeballing a few used Minelab Ctx 3030's. I see one currently listed for around 1,500 on Ebay with a 2 year warranty option for an additional fee. Its tempting considering a new one cost a thousand more. Has anyone ever purchased one of these warranties on ebay and if so, was your experience good or bad?

I haven't ever purchased any additional warranties through eBay via Square Trade but it sounds okay from what I've read. I would find out if that is the "standard" plan or the "Standard + accidents" plan. Ebay SquareTrade Warranties
The CTX 3030 comes with a 3 year warranty. The ebay warranty would not start until the manufacturer's warranty has expired. Something to keep in mind. Find out the age of the 3030 before purchasing.
