I think that's it! There was a local artist Carol Critchfield. She is a listed artist and passed away only a few miles from here. Not a bad find for 49 cents!

I'm actually in Chicago but the painting is dated 71 so she was living here at the time.

She was survived by her son, Paul (Claudia) Critchfield; her grandchildren, Tina (Jeff) Critchfield Huber and Kendall Critchfield; and her great grandchildren, Holden and Hayden Huber. The cemetery admin. office where she was buried may be able to provide you with info that will lead to these people--and more info on your painting.
