The key to Leonardo's deception is the symbol just off the upper right edge of the reflected treed island feature. The symbol is not reflected; here's why.

The symbol is a landmark on a coastline, that is why it is not reflected. That coastline profile is the NEGATIVE vertical right edge of the dark feature, highlighted in blue in first image.

The coastline profile matches the southern Brittany coastline of France between Vannes and Nantes. The landmark is a collapsed megalith, Dolmen du Crapaud, near Billiers. The dolmen is in exactly the right place with exactly the same shape, two lines leaning into each other, one longer and thicker than the other.

Leonardo manipulated our perception to view the dark feature horizontally as a reflected treed island, essentially dismissing the bottom half from our attention. The sky background is hatched horizontally as well to reinforce our perceptions.

Leo has us going horizontal to conceal his secret in the negative vertical right edge of the dark feature. Genius. He is taunting us and daring us to find his secret, by making the dark feature so large as to compete with the lady for attention.

It took 500 years Leonardo, but we figured this out. Now, where are you leading us? 20210616_110850.jpg 2021_05_20_08_45_19_394.jpg
