WW1 Dog Tags HELP!!!!!

I found a set of dog tags here in Ohio while MDing around an old WW1 training camp (Camp Sherman) and would like help identifying the member so I can return them to the family. I was hoping to run a search of his name, but it seems there were many George W. Whites who either enlisted or were drafted. You would think that running the service number would help, but I haven't found any sites that offer that. I'm really hoping somebody out there can help me with this! Here is the info: George W. White SN#1987099

Do you have a picture of it? It should have some sort of location on it as well

Only has his name, USA, and SN on back.

From the picture, it looks as though the number could be 1987499??

Found one like that around Ashland, Oregon, only that it has two holes in it. It reads, HENDERSON. LLOYD E. U.S.A. 65378?64. Could not find anything on it either.

I believe the "number" is the persons serial number. I did find a match - it might be him?

Just so happens that a lot of my kinfolk formed much of Toledo way back when......my Mother gave me this book of the small towns history and I found both George and his father David in the book....here you go.
