Re-sanding beaches. Hmmmmm What is wrong with letting nature do what it will?

This reminds me of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Michigan. The park administrators got all worried one year about the wind eroding the dunes so they put up drift fencing all over the place. Drift fencing is for snow but the concept works with sand also. The fencing is composed of little vertical slats of wood joined together with wire and when the wind passes over the slats it swirls around and drops any sand or snow that it is carrying. Untouched scenic beauty looks really nice with red fencing strewn everywhere.

looked like we were not going to be able to pay for this project and we might need (special property) assessments

Yeah that makes sense can't they get it and leave it the way nature wants its. All that money and one big storm and it's all gone, I don't get it !!!
