Found a Silver Ring Today

Waist deep, got a silver ring. (And other junk)....It's heavily tarnished. Inside of ring has 925 on it. Fits my pinkie finger.
I tried to clean with Tarnex and it turned white in spots. Some of the tarnish came off but not much. Just looks white.

What do you Guys & Gals use to clean your Silver? Electrolysis? No telling how long it's been there.

Sorry no pics. My camera needs batteries.

I tried the baking soda and it worked a little. I think the Tarnex killed it. I only used a little bit for a minute. I got white looking silver ???

Thanks for the info. I will try the magic eraser next. I'll let you know.
