    Just curious, you up there in Michigan, do you manage to hunt any in the late Fall, winter time?
    I'm in Washington State and it doesn't get as cold as where you are, but surviving while winter
    water hunting is some thing else in our climate.
    Win if you can, lose if you must, but always cheat.

    I don't know why I haven't seen this post before this and only found it by doing a search.

    I do like to hunt the land during the fall but stay out of the woods during deer season. Parks are ok and enjoy that as the mosquitoes are gone. I have water hunted till ice stopped me from getting in the water but lately with older age I mainly want a blankie and hot coffee. Car is frozen to the ground now too.
