i agree scrape a layer off. we know by looking at it that it cant be valuable,your best case would be a meteorite,but that is even wishful thinking.scrape a layer off and i bet it will be silver in color.my first thought was a chunk of melted aluminum but you said it was heavy,mabie like he said lead sinker

Most meteorites contain iron that would make it magnetic ,it looks like lead mixed with sand we used to melt 1 pound blocks of lead in a cast iron pot on the beach and pour it in to sinkers molds. Dd60

I have hunted and found many meteorites in AZ, NV, and CA for years. If it is not magnetic, it is not a meteorite.

Thanks everybody, seeing it's probably not valuable, I'm going to smash it with a hammer and see what's inside. If anything.
