Figured I would share this with everyone. – f y i

i gave one a spin in 2010 and was really impressed. few weeks back i ordered yet another one from anderson. for working salt water and waves carbon fiber is hard to beat.

no moving parts, nothing can seize up........super strong and super light....little pricey, but u only go around once........Right.

enjoy and give it some serious thought

Where did you get that Max? I have the breakdown version and like it but it clogs with sand and becomes real difficult to take down again. Never seen the one piece for sale.

Made my own carbon fiber shaft, it's not cheap for the material but I find that I get clearer signals since less metal near the coil.

I changed all my detector shafts to carbon fiber.I used the replacement tail rotor shaft off a r/c helicopter and used bimini pole ends like in the photo to bolt to the coil.Remove the metal screw and use plastic screws and a plastic or nylon bolt for the coil.

An people thought I was crazy when I replaced the brass bolt and wing nut on our old detectors years ago. Coils see metal right, get it as far from your coil as possible.
