I wasn't sure I was gonna get a hunt in today. The beach got rain yesterday and a 70% chance of rain today didn't look very promising.

I figured since I wasn't finding a whole lot in the water these past couple of months. I'd take the Sov GT for a tour of the wet and dry sand.

I started in the dry sand about 8 ft from the wet sand and worked my way South. Found a decent amount of coins there. Then the tide started headed out.

Low tide was pretty good, oodles and oodles of wet sand. Yay!

I recovered plenty of coins in the wet sand, some relatively deep.

The weather started to take a turn for the worse. Dark clouds, thunder and the wind started picking up. Fortunately, it passed without any rain at all. It did leave plenty of clouds and a nice comfortable breeze.

I saw 2 other hunters both in the water.

Finds straight from the pouch

Oh, did I mention my gold drought is over? :wav:

Did you test the clear stone in the silver ring? It sure looks nice, and that gold is nice too! And heavy.

Thanks Stevemc. I don't have a tester, but I'll have it checked.

Nice finds there Willie......
What coil you using on your Sov? I have the the SEF 15"18" Butterfly for mine, love it, it has a massive footprint, goes deep, and I have no problem pinpointing with it.....
